More Progress

Sadly no pictures this time, just video.

The ground tests have been semi successful. There have been zero fully successful ground tests, but everyone one has given me more data to use for use in completing my engine. As can be seen from the video the engine does not get fully involved . This is due to insufficient fuel pressure. Propane as the fuel is self pressurizing; therefore on a cold day, the fuel pressure drops dramatically. The same is true for the nitrous oxide, but it is stored at more than 5 times the pressure of the propane.

To get the engine fully involved I must increase the fuel pressure. I can do this in two ways: first my using a high pressure storage tank for the propane; or secondly by manually starting the turbo pumps. As I do not have much information on the minimum pump head for my turbo pumps, I will attempt a manual start first. I do this due to being on a very limited budget.
